If You Had $400K to Buy a Cat....

Good day all! I am fairly new to Catamarans. I have taken my ASA course on "Kanina" a 2009 45' Prout Hull #1 Owners Verstion. Very nice cat however she was a "Fat Cat"! Too many air conditioners which we never used etc and she liked to pound quite a bit. Spent countless hours looking on-line... stepped on as many as I can... however still haven't pinned a brand down yet. We will be a live aboard and sail around the world and it will just be the two of us. So I am asking for your input and may I thank you up front!
So if you had $400K... which Catamaran would you buy?
Don't hesitate... I am all eyes and ears to any suggestions, just give me a reason why with it!
This is what I have come up with so far on my "Like List":
-Owners Verstion 40' to 44'... however could do with a 38' dispite what my girlfriend thinks...ha!
-Yanmar Engine, prefer 40 hp or more. Told cheaper for parts and availability is worldwide. Volvo's are expensive.
-After hearing about "Head" repairs... two is enough for me!
-Most importantly... safety and seaworthyness for me and my Crew!!!
So far I am leaning to the following:
Voyage
Seawind
Lagoon
Leopard aka R&C
It dosen't have to be the fastest or the most luxurious. Just a happy medium... if there is one!

Obviously I have a Seawind preference - so leaving that brand aside - of the other three, the one that stands out for me is Leopard, but only if its one of models designed by morelli & Melvin. EG the 40

BTW meyermm and others should be along directly to tell you you will do better if you buy a mono.

Google it, and you will see there's many options. I myself sail a Simpson, but in reality it was designed by a fella in the Carolinas. Simpson just ended up with his name on it. BEST WISHES in finding a vessel to serve you well.....i2f

Ok Mark... I have looked at Mantas. What are the attributes to a Manta vs the rest?
Gbanker... I look at it everyday! And Catamaran Co... etc, etc.

My first suggestion would be to search the multihull section as there are about 10 similar threads which discuss about every cat out there.

My first question is why no Fountaine Pajots? You can cut your budget for the boat in half, have a fast cat, proven blue water boat, etc. Like the others I'm partial to my brand.

Palarran- Not crazy buy all the round curves in them however you are right... they can cut my buget... maybe so much I can get over the curves. Now I haven't stepped on one yet, but they seem to have a smaller Saloon than the others? Again only seen them on-line.

Indigo looks wonderful and has all the features I would want, could I afford the price. The exterior engine compartments aft and the fore/aft orientation of the bunks rather than athwartships would sell me. One of my biggest peeves is noise and smell. Especially smell.
She's a very well apportioned and cared for girl.
