It's a loosely woven 'plastic' mesh. The French call it Batyline. They are fastened on with the sort of metal 'poppers' I last saw attaching the folding roofs on British sports cars from the 60's!

It's a shame you left out the likes of FP, Outremer and Nautitech in the poll as these manufacturers have probably more, and a lot more in some cases of boats out there than a most of the SA boats which you have chosen, which makes the poll a little bit unrealistic - maybe it should be done again with the most popular and fastest selling makes included and drop some of the lesser known and sold SA cats.

Mark,

Yes, textilene is the product here in the US. I see this as being one of the first things I do on my boat to keep it a little cooler in the Florida summer heat.

Thanks

David

Funny you should say that Dennisail but I have a friend who is in desperate need of a left testicle and may be more than willing to swap his Yapluka 65 or his new (on order 115) for both!!

Sorry, too late, the more I thought about it, and now that I am 50, I didn't really have any use for them anymore so I did the swap (he says talking in a high pitched voice) and now I looking at my own Yapluka, ah bliss.

Well. If I had the money. I would buy me a old 80 ft Elco PT boat. Like the kind they used during World War Two.

Now those boats moved very fast. And had plenty of room onboard. My kind of stinkpotter.
