How well are the Crowther 50 plus Cats made

Anyone sail on a 50 Plus ft Crowther Catamran. Im looking at a few for sale. Some fiberglass some aluminum. They seem to have a shallow draft around 3ft and wide beam around 28ft on some 56footers.
They look pretty nice with lots of room which I like for my other hobbies,
ham radio, guitar music and keyboards. Plenty of rooms for the ladies which they like having plenty of room to stretch out.

I believe most, if not all, were custom builds, so the quality will vary more than production cats, which already vary quite a bit.

If you see one you're serious about, then a thorough survey should tell you. Crowther designed some great boats.

two fast, need more info to find your daughter's video.

This one must be it considering your user name and the boat's name. I'm good.

Hi deck officer

Sorry the second link is correct

Our boat is 2 years old and been sailing for about 1 year mainly criusing with some scoial racing
Last XMAS we sailed to Lord Howe Island some 400nm of the east coast of Australia in some 35plus kts and wild seas.
she is 50' by 26, and a draft of just under 4' boards up and almost 11'down

two fast,

47 seconds into the video shows someone just jumping for joy on the port bow, now that is enjoying sailing.

Thanks Deck Officer and Jeff
Two Up was 7 years in the planning and building
And has for filled our dreams except for our lack of time for live aboard cruising yet
On the port bow is our eldest daughter who normally does main sheet or bow while racing

She sure looks like she just loves sailing, always good to see the next generation showing passion for sailing.

Re: How well are the Crowther 50 plus Cats made

I sailed on a Crowther 18m - On the Edge - here in the Whitsundays last week. She is a day charter boat but we had a great time matching "Nokia" (Sydney to Hobart 60foot record holder) for speed while we had cocktails on the tramp. Gotta love that!
