google search for 'yacht transport'.
Bringing a ship thru the
Panama Canal USA long hard slog. Certainly doable, but if it's just a
delivery, it's hard on both the crew and the
boat, and can be very expensive. By the time you pay the crew, provision the
boat, pay all the
taxes, and fix the stuff that breaks the bills start to add up quick.
Figure this trip is a minimum of 4,200nm... Assuming you can do 200miles a day you are looking at 20 days of running time. Realistically figure it will take twice that, so 40 days by the time you stop for
fuel,
water,
food, inspections, transit times ect...
For the yacht transport companies you typically get moved major port to major port, so maybe
San Diego to
Miami, then a quick
delivery back to the
Gulf Coast. While you are onbard a lot of the transports have fully functional yards, so it's a good time to get a bottom job, get some
interior work repaired, engines serviced, ect...
