How close to the beach can you take a Cat?

I'm thinking like the East coast of Florida around Sarasota.

At least you don't have to worry about crab pots.

We meant that we had taken the time to delete the pic from the quote in our replies so that you don't get multiple copies of the image in subsequent posts.

It's a pity more people don't do so

To get to Sarasota from the east coast of Florida you'll need to take the cat to the beach and about 180 miles more!

I know that's a silly answer, but Sarasota in on the west coast of Florida and not even directly on the coast, but on Sarasota Bay where you can easily beach most any smaller catamaran and step to the sand.

This close. Has a dive/boarding ladder up front allows stepoff while still floating.

As all the pics have shown, very close, but something to be aware of...when you are close enough to touch bottom...waves or wakes can be bad, very bad. Only try this in very protected waters.
