Hello Brothers,

Hi,
I am a new member of this exciting forum. I am a student of Naval architect. Brothers, i have assigned to work with a design of catamaran cotaining 200 passengers with a service speed of 20 knots.But i have not enough knowledge on catamaran. So would anyone do me any favour by giving me proper informatio about how could i start!

There are fast passenger water jet catamaran ferries operating Southampton UK out to Cowes, Isle of White.
Try google 'Red Jet' or Red Funnel - Welcome to Red Funnel They run pretty well and should lay down the bench marks for you to develop on from.

I suggest you get in touch with the classification society where the vessel is going to be insured, and follow their requirements regarding scantlings and systems.
Your tutor should be able to define this for you.

Where are you based? Maybe we can point you in the right direction somewhere close.

Doesn't Kazi mean work?

That's too big for us - This board is for yachts, not commercial, try Boat Design Net - the Boat Design and Boat Building Site forums.
