Dave Abbot has some stuff over on his website "maxingout.com". Check this out... STORM MANAGEMENT FOR CRUISERS

If you pick through you'll find a video of him towing the warps.

Here is some local discussion... http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ment-7806.html

I don't know if you've used the google search but it pulls up a lot of threads. Try catamaran, heavy, weather

Google search is under the small search button with the down arrow, not the large one.

The most important tip to remember in sailing a catamaran in bad weather is to slow the boat down.

The previous link to Dave's site is thoroughly recommended. A mix of his Abbott drogue, and for more serious weather, a jordan series drogue are good (search on the Jordan series drogue and read the USCG report)

Read the DDDB (Drag Device Data Base) for cats in bad weather.

Adlard Coles book "Heavy Weather Sailing" does include some data on multihulls.

This is a very nice book, Catamarans: The Complete Guide for Cruising Sailors

It includes a lot of sailing info besides being a good appetizer with many nice pics.

I have not yet read The Cruising Multihull (Paperback), so I cannot really comment on that.

I can highly recommend "Surviving The Storm" part of the Dashew's series... I got the DVD and have found it very interesting... I use to believe drogues and chutes were the answer but now understand it's not that simple and depends on the storm... lot's of real life stories... both with Mono's and CATs...

Enjoy.. Cheers
