Halyard to cockpit

I have a 2011 Gemini 105mc and want to run the main halyard to the cockpit, has anyone out there done this? Seems pretty straight forward, but wanted to see if any one could comment.

Re: Halyard to cockpit

All of the halyards on my Seawind ruun back to the cockpit and it works fine. I find it quicker to pull up the main by standinding alongside the mast and just hand over hand hauling the sheet. The last 3-4 feet are winched up.

Re: Halyard to cockpit

Am I the only one that finds it a bit odd that it ISN'T already run there as standard?

Seems funny that my older Catalac 900 (which the basic layout is almost identical as the Gemini's designer used to work for Catalac) has everything run to the cockpit already.

To try and be helpfull though, it should be easy, just fix a spare turn pully to the coachroof to allow the halyard to run around the doghouse roof and should be as simple as that.
