Well. 9 is very good result. The 2680 is not sailed directly and especially not directly if you are sailing a fast cat.

But overall and compared to other boats it was nothing out of ordinary.

Sure thing (?) if one spends the same amount of money on a fast boat then she will fly.

Re: Gunboats: Any First-Hand Info ?

Phaedo sailed about 30% more miles than rhumbline, and did this race in full cruising mode. She destroyed her asym on the first day, and did the ARC with only screechers. Her captain reckons they were 75 miles per day off their normal ocean crossing pace. They felt they could have been two days quicker and set the elapsed record.

Thanks for the update. My wife ( the racer in or family ) has been following Phaedo for a couple of years on U-tube and would love to see her live some day. Not a bad race either keep it up.

Re: Gunboats: Any First-Hand Info ?

Thanks Peter but my business keeps us in the PNW this year maybe I'll catch one of your cats at a Seattle boat show hopeully soon all we get is rental type cats in Seattle, It sure would be a big thing to have a 66 ft Gunboat in the Salish Sea ( Seattle ) for a show.
