Yes, its more plausible than the ocean doing it. There are a lot of people out there for whom any hardware has value enough to do that.

It is a stripped hull imo, which I posted before but the thread was too heated to notice then. This makes the story of abandoned, then found off-shore and towed in very unlikely. There must have been a looting going on somewhere and I have a hard time believing it happened out there on the ocean.

Hmmm... so the owners stripped the boat, motored it out to sea in a storm, then called mayday and claimed they'd been dismasted?

Does that mean all the knockers have been bagging the **** out of this boat falsely?

No and no. I never pointed a finger to anybody for looting it... you just did that.

The hatches have been looted, leaving a skeleton with a winch. Maybe the hatch framed popped off? That is possible, but only when Gunbiat used a Pritt stick to glue them in!

What winches are you talking about? I only see one....but after looking at other pictures I cannot find any other winch on the boat, neither outside or inside. Maybe it had another on the mast...but it was that boat sailed with only one or two winches?

It seems it is there but covered with salt? and therefore white?

Does not make sense to put a winch on a wreck. Regarding looting, contrary to other photos this one is from when they are towing the boat and I believe it would not make sense to rob the hatches and not the winch. The winch would be easier to take off.

All the electronics incl. consoles are gone. $5,000 steering wheel gone. Helmsman seat gone. Companionway doors gone. Cockpit table gone. All ripped off by the ocean? Or looters more probable?
