Just got back from the Newport boat show
. Lots of eye candy. While there were not really that many multihulls (compared to Miami) Gunboat was there. I must say, the GB 55 is unlike any cat I have been on. Functionally a "small boat" for a 55 footer (really only two staterooms), this boat was different in almost everyway from any other cat I had been on. Seems to be well thought out for a couple to cruise
on, yet performance (i assume) will be better than any other short handed cat could hope for. A very different boat. Certainly the price
will run most off, but as a design, I felt it was very forward thinking, and trickle down effect may influence future couples that hope for bigger boat performance, while holding big boat issues at bay. What do the masses (you, the forum) say?
