The designer, Tony Smith retired last year. His daughter is now President of the company. I'd suggest you try an email to her directly

The reason members will occasionally see that the moderators have altered an email address is not because there are rules against posting email addresses (as opposed to URLs for commercial entities in which a member has a stake), but because publicly posting an email address makes it vulnerable to spambots. An email address posted without some attempt to obscure it from spambots can be easily harvested and added to lists to receive endless spam.

The only sure-fire cure, once an email address has gotten onto such a list is to get a new email address.

For that reason, when we see that a member has innocently posted something like, "Here's my email address - newbie@wannagosailin.com - I'm available whenever," we will generally alter it, or strongly suggest to the member that he alter it himself, so that a typical spambot can't exploit this lapse of good judgment.

Dan, appreciate it, but won't be neccessary. I got the general size for my calulations. Seems the watermaker and A/C will take most of the kitty before I go hog wild on Solar Arrays!! <G>

Just a thought.
I would suggest that you hold off on the watermaker until you are closer to going cruising. From what I have observed. They are not something that you install and just wait for years to use. They usually don't like to just sit there and not be used.
I've had mine for several years and used it when we went to the Bahamas 3 years ago. Haven't used it since. I hope it works when/if we get to go back.
Just thinking.

Wm,

You are correct. I've read all the info on the gentleman here who is an authority on the 40E. Which is the one I am looking at. Since I am scheduled to return to the States around April, I intend to sail for the Summer fo 2011 (Hmm..I just got the song of Summer of 69 in my head <G>). So, I will install it just before putting the boat in the water.

THanks,
