Hello Gordon! Where are you these days?

Back to the thread, we'll chirp in with support for the galley up, at least for us and on our L440. The large overhead cupboards add enormously to storage and they are easily accessible, as are both the frig and the freezer. Just on storage, we rated the L440 amoung the best of the (many) vessels we considered. The galley up also brings the food prep into the 'life' of the vessel, both when underway and on anchor, for us anyway...and, like Gordon, we often use the serve-through 'feature' to our aft cockpit dining/entertaining area.

All that said, we also viewed the galley up as one of our non-critical (non deal-breaker) criteria during our extended (~4 yrs) vessel search...and, altho we're very happy with our galley up now, we know plenty of others very happy with galleys down.

Happy New Year to all!
