Extreme H2O was racing against the Gunboat 66 Phaedo which didn't have lifting foils. After they nearly pitchpoled, the fully professional crew of ExtremeH2O didn't push as hard. While they beat Phaedo to the finish by 10 hours, they owed Phaedo about 16 hours on handicap. I can't find the daily position reports anymore, but AFAIK they were leading on handicap until they saw God.

ExtremeH2O was put up for sale after the race.
