Ever heard of a Mattia 39?

Strange looking thing with a narrow cockpit more akin to a monohull than a cat despite having 4.7m beam.

Seems like they are Italian made, but there's practically zero information about them online. (perhaps my google-** is weak)

Re: Ever heard of a Mattia 39?

Yes this is Mattia & Cecco 39 . I think 1984 to 1989.
Nine boats were made if I am correct by Enrico Contreras.
We sailed the boat in Sardinia , quite fast boat with no shaking ,very stable. This one has a rotating wing mast and a bigger engine than the other models Volvo penta 115. It has two drifts in the middle to lower them mechanically for more stability but we didn't need to use much. Min draft 0.90m .Quite spacious inside with two double bedrooms with closets one big living room kitchen and bathroom. Loads of space for equipment.
Cool design also draws attention.

Re: Ever heard of a Mattia 39?

These boats where built by Mattia&Cecco in Dervio at Lake Como.
I saw one built in the yard at tge time.
Mattia is originally a builder of very fast beach cats like the Mattia Esse.
They were pioneering the formula 18 class.

Not really a website but contact details.

Good luck,
