The paper got the size wrong. The coast guard report has it as a 28 ft catamaran, and it looks that way in the picture also.

What makes you think that Joli?

I have seen plenty of photos of catamarans turned over. You cannot tell me or anyone else they don't flip over.

About that being a fake photo. That'll be hard to tell.

But this photo looks very real to me!!!

I'm not trying to bash you Joli. Just merely stating an opinion!!

It's quite real I am affraid. A good reminder to be prudent. That photo was taken about 25 miles down the coast from my house. The weather was a bit dicey over the weekend. Not something I would have chosen to go out into in my 37 foot cat. I found the USCG report...

Yeah.

I figured the photo looked too real to be a fake.

With regards to Joli. You were wrong!!

And don't blow a head gasket. Chill out!! It's only a silly innocent photo!!

CaptainK! Of course it's fake. I was told in no uncertain terms by the folks here that that can never happen on a catamaran!

It's fake.

With all due respect Joli.

Do you own a catamaran? Have you ever sailed in one? Especially in bad weather?

And are you trying to get another mono versus multi hull argument going here?

Cause you can stop right there!!

I will not participate in a rant over which is better. I got better things to do with my time. Than to get into a argument with you? Cause, I have followed your postings in the past. And you'll never get a answer from me.

All in light jest, all in jest. But I thought Sailrmn would be here to beat on me?

I knew what you were up to Joli Tongue firmly in cheek
So.... What about the details? 28' sounds right to me. Sounds like he at least let someone know where he was sailing. Probably save his life. Was the boat recovered? Or is it just more debris floating off the Fla coast?
