Ahh. Missed that. You are right (tho I have seen some very "quiet" boats there!) what about key west mooring field, can one use that as wet storage?

Dec-March is high season. However, There are a number of affordable privately owned slips up the Miami River, west of NW 2nd Ave Bridge; and if you can get under a 55' fixed bridge (I-195), north Biscayne Bay. " South Florida" is a very very big place, can you be more specific. If you are in the Ft.Lauderdale area, check with the Los Solas Marina, they have both docks and moorings. Again, in Ft.Lauderdale look at the, " Waterfront News" for dock space.

There are a couple of marinas around WPB but maybe that is too north for you. Riviera Beach is in construction but slips look available. Also North Palm Beach/Old port cove can accomodate a boat that size if slips are available. I was quoted @1200 for our 40/21ft boat.

Stock Island is a nice marina. Check to insure they have outside dockage. Their slips won't take your beam.

Call Lou, 239-821-2885 at Port of the Islands about 14 miles south of Naples. Inland about 7 miles so good storm surge buffer, about 4.5 feet at high tide, 3 0r 4 cats in here, one at 54 long by 28 or so wide. Price is right and reasonable access to the Atlantic side by bridge at 65' or a bascule bridge a little farther north of the Long Key bridge.
