actually I find that I don't very often use my d'boards. If I'm trying to beat really high, or if steering is difficult, or if I'm worried about protecting the drives and rudders. Otherwise they're up

Don't forget Chris White's latest design, the Atlantic 47, has keels with trim tabs.
