Cruising with a Formula 18

We sailed through Finnish archipelago from Iniö (from border of Åland) to Helsinki (capital city of Finland) with our Formula 18 catamaran, covering 200 miles in five days. It wasn't terribly fast - in good winds, one could achieve that in 15-20 hours, but we went upwind almost all the way.

Re: Cruising with a Formula 18

Ojarva,

Thanks for sharing your small boat cruise. Did something similar in my 19' Lightning thru the Gulf Islands and Desolation Sound of BC Canada. Loved it. Small boat cruising in nice weather is great when you're young. I'm not any more. Check out Multihull Anarchy. They are a rough bunch but are more into small multis. Also look up Race to Alaska especially 2015 for long distance small boat adventure. Yikes!
