Cost of Upkeep and Repair

ANyone notice that even in this current economic period costs are rising steadily? Got a quote today to paint the bottom of my cat with three coats on the hull and four on the waterline for $2k. What prices are you painting bottoms of cats for?

Re: Cost of upkeep and repair

I just got a quotes for a 36' monohull: Sodablast, dry, fair, three coats of two-pot epoxy, two coats antifoul - $4,500...

It's not just cats unfortunately.

HOLY CRAP!!! That's a lot of cash-ola....
I'm so glad I have the ability and access to the stuff to be able to do this myself. Haul out and materials and lots of elbow grease.

Re: Cost of Upkeep and Repair

When converted to £ sterling, considering the labour and materials involved, it sounds cheap.

So what does it run you to paint your cat yourself? What paint and how much do you use.? Southern cal has a lot of compliance rules for yards. Im going with 4 on the waterline and three on the hull. Petit trinidad sr.
