Condor 40 $20,000 Steal of the Year

This was posted on that site that we may not mention. But Gregor Tarjan is right, it is the steal of the year. Screw haulout. Just write a check.

Nothing that starts with 'photos are of a sister ship.' Ends well.

The sister ship was only the first picture that happens to be the only picture under sail. It does look like most all portholes leak by looking at the stains in the wood. Diesel a bit rusty but overall if those are the only issues, it is a performance bargain.

So did a $1.4m Chris White cat that was listed for a couple weeks. It takes all kinds.

Appears as she had a hard grounding ...the carbon fiber on the centerboard box is not factory side also the mast appears as missing the diamonds ...
The one in TX Condor 40 for sale / service file appears as the better kept boat ...

Re: Condor 40 $20,000 Steal of the Year

I just stumbled onto this thread. I am the lucky new owner of JAZ that Condor-40. Yup I had to act fast and bought her over the phone from Hawaii where I live. I've been aboard and she seems to be in really good condition as she was maintained by the same shipyard for many years. I will be returning to MA to pick her up mid September and my plan, weather permitting, is to cruise down the eastern seaboard and moor her in Brunswick GA for the winter. After that who knows... Sail the Caribbean, store her FLA west coats, or bring her home to Oahu.

I am seeking crew to join the adventure from Norther NJ down to GA beginning on/about Sept 28th. If you are interested drop me an email to chrislaletin"at"mac"dot"com

Re: Condor 40 $20,000 Steal of the Year

New Year Update: JAZ is awesome and we sailed her down to the Chesapeake and have stored her at the Georgetown Yacht Basin for the winter where she will have the engine and sail-drive removed, serviced and reinstalled. Otherwise she is in great shape and sails beautifully. Cant wait till summer to get aboard again and continue the adventure. If you would like a copy of the trip story shoot me a note with your email and I will forward you the story and photos. It was a beautiful trip through LI sound, NYC, NJ, Delaware Bay and Chesapeake bay.

Still loving this Condor. 2014 update. I sailed her all the way down to Saint Augustine. What a fantastic machine.
