Comparing hull types

I'd you had $50G to spend on a boat,

And you wanted to live on $800 a month in the USA,

Cruise blue water around the world,

I'm pretty much asking if it's possible to do it on a multi-hull?

Anything is possible just depends on your comfort level.

Re: Comparing hull types

I was joking with that first reply. But seriously if you have just 50k to spend on boat and any repairs/upgrades I would have to recommend you look for a good boat in the 30k range. And in that range you will get more bang for your buck by going mono hull. (Jmho)
Where are you located?

I presume that G is 50 Gigadollars? That should buy you a boat big enough for your bath. And a multihull is definitely the best option. You can use the front of one hull for the bathroom.

Make sure you empty the bathtub before getting too near storm surf.

G is short for "Grand", in the US a somewhat out of style substitute for thousand, mostly replaced by K.

Is that just a stereotype of sailors or for real here?

Um.. I think you nailed disrespect here for sure, fellow. You came in, asked for opinions, you got opinions, and you lashed out like that when someone tried to assist. Nice.

The point folks are making here is that the stresses on a sailing vessel (and power vessel) are FAAAR excessive of what you will see on your surfboard, and the boat will see those stresses at far lower sea states than your surfboard may run well in. When you get all cranky when folks are trying nicely to tell you that and get all snippy, you are showing the supreme in disrespect, so don't offer the "no disrespect" tag at the end. It is like my niece who says something nasty to people, then watches to see if they get offended, then tosses in a "just kidding!" as a way to escape the backlash from her snobby comments. Poor taste...

AKA, she ALSO needs to grow up a little...

Re: Comparing hull types

Et12 there are some of us on here that have seen stuff on the ocean hat would scare most humans to death . You are not being very respectful of others. Myself I have been thru more typhoons than most of the people here ( not bragging ) and I have lost people,e that I was responsible for. I would have much rather been in the more benign 40 ft surf in Hawaii instead of the super typhoon that swept Donald Evans from my deck.

You ask for assistance and opinions but don't like the answers you get so you lash out. . Grow up!!
