I loved sailing Gemini around Florida and the Bahamas for many years and we briefly considered buying the new 105 MC for our circumnavigation of the Caribbean but comfort was too important a factor so we bought a new Admiral 38 cat in South Africa. Did you already buy the Gemini? If not I saw several refrences to the Maxim 38 in other notes and I know two Maxim owners who are very happy with them. Certainly sturdier than the Gemini. We did enjoy the Gemini but I've always considered it a costal cruiser. Pick your weather windows well and hopefully all will go well for you.
fair winds.

Rather than the Mahe 36, you might want to take a look at some of the older Fountaine Pajot designs that have a higher bridgedeck clearance.

Got a great Admiral 38' Executive Model for sale. Definitely worth checking out. With a 23' reach it makes for a super comfortable boat. Not only is she a beauty to look at but also to sail. Admiral 38 Catamaran - Home
