Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

How long would it take to move some of that stuff around before taking a picture...

Now, I shouldn't be talking, because my house is a huge mess. But, I'm not trying to sell it.

I always move the **** out of the way, take the pic, then move, repile, repeat, repeat. Keeps the dust off the counters also.

It is local to me - I'll be driving through west palm later this afternoon.

Will try to contact him now.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

I'll be driving the east coast today from Miami to St Augustine. If anyone knows of any cheap cats to look at similar to the iroquois, I'd be happy to see them on my way north.

This weekend I'll be driving the northern gulf coast, so I guess any boats along that way would be of interest also - especially in the Pensacola-Destin area where I'll be staying.

That's how my GF keeps house, I can't let her see that, she thinks everything has to be put up for safety reasons, at least that's what I have her believing.....

I have a question and hope its not to fast off subject. My Trimaran bilges are normally bone dry and fiberglass over plywood, and the bilges are fiberglass in. But a hatch was left open had a couple of inches of rain water. now I have a mold problem in my bilges.

There's areas I can't get to. can I flood sea water in to kill it and kind of pickle things.

Help

Sprinkle rock salt everywhere you can. This is an old NW fisherman trick. In fact they used to put salt licks in the bilge to keep the water salty. Fresh water will allow rot to grow. Salt water the rot cannot grow in. I am not a scientist, I am a fisherman, and this is what they taught me. Rain water rots, salt water preserves!

Exactly that is why I thought of flooding the bilges to get rid of the mold that I can't clean out

Here is a 42' Horstman tri. It looks like it's a 33 year project because after all you don't want to rush things. It does have daggerboards but at $89,000 it ain't cheap.

I think this may be somewhat of a similar design for sale down here in the Gulf Coast area, Mississippi 1988 Custom Trimaran - Hartsman Tri Star 43 XRC sailboat for sale in Mississippi

Last I spoke with the owner I think he said he would take less for the boat, don't hold me to that but that is what I remember about 4 or 5 months ago. There are many issues with the boat.
