Yeah, a real craftsman would have dove tail joints there, instead of butt joints...
And epoxed-in fillets, not just epoxy for a fillet.

Any internet couch expert craftsman would do better......

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

The Butt joints with microballoons/cabosil? are not structural bulkheads and the choice of John Marples for the CC designed boat, so you call him up and tell him why you would make changes to his design. There are always better ways to build a boat but sometimes they are not needed, constant cambered hulls are very rigid. I didn't build it and glad I didn't spend the amount of time building her, but anyone dogging her does get the chance to show me what they built, even though that would be bragging. Builders have my respect, and they leave the world a better place

I assume that 42' Cross has a fin keel on the center hull. Do those Cross fin keels point well?

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

That Contour 50 wing sail is up for auction again. I guess the past winning bidder balked or defaulted. Last time it went for about $75K I believe.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

I wonder if the bidder bailed after finding out it would cost too much to replace that rig?
