Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

Has anyone checked out that Iroquois in the Keys?
I'm beginning to give it serious consideration.
I may relocate to Florida for a while.

Thanks!

Craig

Quite a bit actually, they and the intercats (all3 used same molds and hulls) were the predecessors to the endeavourcat 30s. A great roomy catamaran. Humongous galley, seperate shower i to the head you can fit two people in. Good tankage, and sail well. Weve surfed our old one at 11knots but regularly sailed 7-8 knots. They have fixed Lar keels can stand on its own bottom, i believe cored with nidacore above w solid glass below. And you can see all 4 corners really well from the helm. Biggest drawback was sitting headroom at 3/4 of the settee the ends of it you can stand. Most sell for 40-60k+ ths one is a steal! There is a blog / owners group for them and intercat 30 (same exact boat)you just have to google them both.

Craig - I am in contact with the owner. He sent some some pics- It needs quite a bit work and equipment but seems solid. I might go check it out in person (I'm in Miami).

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

Thanks for the pics/info on the Iroquois.
That would be great if you were to check it out.
Pay special attention to the transom "repair".

It's short on all the details starting with length.

That's Murray Lipschitz in the third photo. I'd recognize him anywhere.

+1 on Piver. Lodestar maybe.

You can purchase the original Piver plans from the Mariner's Museum.
