Speaking of bargain-priced project
boats, my son just bought a 12-meter Sunstream cat in Norfolk, VA. He said the boat itself is in decent condition, but both sail drives are inop, one with the head
pulled. We are brainstorming how to get it down to Vero Beach, FL. The leading option is to lash the 11' RIB
with a 20hp 4-stroke between the hulls astern and motor
her out of the marina and into open water
, then (hopefully) sail her around the Outer Banks
. Anyone have any experience with such a jury rig?
