Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

Unfortunately, I have no Intel on the designer, or much else regarding the vessel itself.

this crowther 33/35 tri 15k is still for sale on the west coast, although it doesn't seem like the seller is motivated to drop the price or negotiate (much)..trying to get about what they bought it for. https://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/boa/d/keyport-crowther-35-trimaran-fast-fun/7011352428.html

there is a newick val 31 wing project in s. ca that isn't officially for sale but was offered up at one point and hasn't moved in quite a few years. there is a nice newick 36 in bc that was previously offered at a reasonable price and hasn't sold as far as I know. there is a brown searunner 34 project on hawaii craigslist... there is a flipped L7 tri for sale in ca, probably a reynolds 33 cat in Reno, & in bc perhaps a trevor banks 35 cat.

there just aren't as many multihulls, especially cats... or boat yards/places that handle them on the west coast usa. if you're in the bay area you could head down to the napa marina and wander around- see if you find anything that's not officially listed/online & report back. the napa boatyard historically seems to have the highest concentration of "project" multihulls in the area.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

I looked at that tri in Seattle. I thought he lowered the price a touch before but now it's back up.

Here's and interesting 40' cat in Portland OR for $69,000. It looks better than most for the price.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

I know of an older 45' trimaran in quite good shape for sale under the radar. I think they will ask a reasonable price so no bottom feeders here. Serious inquiries only, PM me for details. Its in Puget Sound. Its no mine.

Yes, because there's no place to put multi's. For example, there's a 10 year waiting list for end tie's in Oceanside, Ca (North San Diego County). And you have to pay the app fee every year to stay on the waiting list. Plus, with the Coastal Commission here, it's highly unlikely new marina's will be built.

My brother did that. There's a marina north of Ensenada and I think it's still the only marina between San Diego and Cabo.
