as an interesting side note, this boat is the same boat that Don Butler bought and did a write up on in 1998, I had just returned from Asia (1996) after getting bitten by the sailing bug, I jumped on a 38' double ender in Phi Phi Thailand and we sailed to basically everywhere that big tsunami struck in 2004 (Phuket, Punta Banda (epicenter), Lankawi, Galle harbor and the Maldives)...I was determined to someday have a Catamaran (after my first night in Ao Chalong)...Don Butler helped keep the Edel 35 on my short list...and now I've got that beaten up old girl....funny how the world turns

Edel 35 Sport Catamaran Owner Report by Ron Butler

I remember that article. We used to own an Edel 43 so appreciate the design.

We passed 2.5 years ago on a 39 privilege for 40k. Both engines ran well. Rig was good, boat was a nightmare of neglected deck penetrations, leaks and leaking windows, and the wiring was ripped apart.

How do people find, see and jump on these "Cheap Multis and Projects" so fast? Must be some magic interweb gimtrickery that I have little hope of ever figuring out.
Late to the party, but figure out what model (or models if you're windhorze) you want, set up some Google alerts, then sit back and let the fish come to you ...

I believe pair-a-dice was for sale on sailboat listings out of Florida in late 2014/early 2015 for $20k. I remember seeing the same color scheme and name for an HR when I was looking.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

I met a young couple who had sailed their Heavenly Twins from the UK to the Carib. They had total confidence in the boat but said performance was lacking. Loaded for cruising they were lucky to maintain 5.5 knots. Still, incredible layout with two double berths and a very functional galley (standing headroom only in the hulls).

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

There was a PDQ 36 that was on Craigslist yesterday for $15k. It lasted a few hours before being removed. Probably a scam.

I think this had two mods then: removed divider in berths to make it a large king, and one of the walkthroughs closed off and turned into an internal gasoline tank. Funnily enough, the sailboat listings advert shows the FL registration still, and I think the same dry lift it was on then too.
