FYI - I just looked at a 41' Corinthian in Rockport, TX.
On the hard, has seen much better days. I am kinda old to be starting a restoral
project but the boat was interesting. Corinthians are
fiberglass boats, not glass over some
core. This one even had the
emergency escape
hatch in the
hull in case of pitchpoling. The
engine was basically a 6 cyl Ford tractor
engine so
parts are not an issue. Has a
generator, too.
Rigging needed replacing... well, I would, anyway.
Sails? Riiight. It has an in-boom
furler. It's been
on the hard since 2008 after it was moved to TX from
Florida. Owner has since passed and the heirs want to dispose of the boat. They are asking $20K. Who knows what they will take. PM me and I will send you the ton of photos they sent me. One other note: the 26 y.o. grand daughter, who grew up in, on and around that boat, lives about a mile away and is constantly checking on it. It has
solar vents that
work quite well. I almost hated walking away.
