Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

My two brothers, my cousin and myself are trying to rescue and restore this boat to race in the 2018 R2AK. If you have a more reliable way to reach Steven please advise.

Does this post provide you with any new information? https://www.facebook.com/permalink.p...85183364857037

If it wasn't 3000 miles away, I'd be interested for sure.

These are all good finds for project boats. Someone will have fun with the tris. The Wharram is most ready to go but some won't be familiar with the nylon sheathing.

This Chamberlain Cirrostratus looks like a good deal for someone handy.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

FYI - I just looked at a 41' Corinthian in Rockport, TX. On the hard, has seen much better days. I am kinda old to be starting a restoral project but the boat was interesting. Corinthians are fiberglass boats, not glass over some core. This one even had the emergency escape hatch in the hull in case of pitchpoling. The engine was basically a 6 cyl Ford tractor engine so parts are not an issue. Has a generator, too. Rigging needed replacing... well, I would, anyway. Sails? Riiight. It has an in-boom furler. It's been on the hard since 2008 after it was moved to TX from Florida. Owner has since passed and the heirs want to dispose of the boat. They are asking $20K. Who knows what they will take. PM me and I will send you the ton of photos they sent me. One other note: the 26 y.o. grand daughter, who grew up in, on and around that boat, lives about a mile away and is constantly checking on it. It has solar vents that work quite well. I almost hated walking away.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

I have a mechanic's lien on a 34' Tri and am in the process of registering it.
It looks well built, no apparent issues, except the engine is seized. I was preparing to rebuild it and the owner was sent back to prison. It is at my neighbor's dock on BayouChico.

I had done some work on this boat over the years and never got paid. When I get the documents, I will be asking $7,000 AS IS. If I rebuild the 3 cylinder Kubota and re-install it, it will be market price.

I am too busy just now to do pix, so if anyone in NW Florida, Pensacola area wants to see it, send a PM
