Talking Charter sail

Hey. New member here.
I read how you said you bought your boat but it's in Charter use. I've heard of these offers before and my wife and I thought it sounded like it might be good, but were too chicken to pursue it. (we're both accountants, so it's against our nature to push the envelope)

Have you been doing that long enough to have any feedback?
Worth the effort/money/worry? Do you get enough out of it?
That kind of thing.

pirate Hi Jiggy

Welcome to the board.

Yes, I bought my 43' catamaran 1,5 years ago into a 3,5 years charter contract with Sunsail. I'm pleased with the system. I could never buy such a big boat NEW for just to use it some weeks in the summer every year here in Norway. The alternative was to buy a second hand boat, but checking the prices for them turned me 10 years back in time to get a similar OLD boat.

I preferred a new boat that I will have all to myself 2 years from now - then beeing only 3,5 years old. In the meantime I can use it several weeks every year in the Seychelles!!!

Yes, I'm happy with the solution with Sunsail. Moorings is an alternative.
