Hi Terho,

Please keep the thread going as you move along with the construction, we all learn some more. Using Nidacore for future boats is a good option given the price of foam has increased so much.

Regards

Alan

Catharsis 27

We changed her name to Catharsis 27. Sharpening the bows made her bigger . The first of the boats will be an open version (original design) and the second a cruising version with a smal cuddy on the bridge.

I wish you would consider daggerboards for this beautiful vessel! I realize that the heavy machinery belongs to the school, but I wonder if you have any plans to produce a kit, partially completed boats or [gasp!] limited production?

Daggerbords like this? They are optional.

Plans for homebuilders (plywood or sandwich sheet version) are under consideration. No financial possibilities to develop kits or production, sorry. Investors are wellcome though.

Sandy,

How about you and I build at least two on spec? I think one would be sold from the get-go (yes, I want one!)

OK! Everyone who is interested can send a Cashier's check made out to Bearer for $10,000 US to Post offce Box 12, Mount Idy, Delmarva USA and we'll get into production at the School for the Halt and Lame in Costa Rica.

And if I'm getting into the manufacturing business, I'm gonna lay down some rules:
1. No Options.
2. Bolting, gluing, tying or strapping anything to any part of the finished product voids the warranty and any implied merchantability
3. When any doubt exists concerning the liability for any mishap or malfunction, the warranty expires.
4. Extended exposure to wet, damp or even humid conditions may adversely affect the performance and suitability of any component or structure of this product. Allow such conditions to occur at your own risk.
5. If we every said it would taste good, be less filling, go fast, or last a long time we take it back....

Re: Catharsis 26

Her sistership should sail this summer. My old project will take 2-3 year to sail.
