Not sure about previous numbers, but certainly the Southeast numbers (no doubt largely Ft. Lauderdale/Miami) seem pretty impressive in what is still a relatively slow economy.

I could only find a few that sold for more than 10% of listing price. How convenient.

Three Lagoon 380s in the same place in Greece all sold in the same month for the same amount?? Sounds dubious...

170k seems very low for a 2007 or 2008 Lagoon 380

Re: Catamarans Sold in the 4th Quarter of 2013

Not sure where the information is from. Biut it isn't accurate. I make a living out of selling Cats and Tris. Apparently I didn't sell a single boat in that period. Nor did anyone I know in the industry in Australia. So by all means use the info for what it is worth, but it certainly isn't a global representation. Which I think I may have mentioned before.

I keep saying to myself that I will stop posting these, because they are so hard to scan and get them somewhat readable.

It's nice to see broker information that we normally would not have access to.

If your shopping for a cat, this may be of some use to know what others are doing in the market.

I find it difficult to believe (without another source) that these figures are accurate.

I "know" two of the vessels that are listed in this report. One of these vessels is bought by a member of this forum. He (and the seller) really know what has been paid. Would be helpful if he confirms the Sold price.

Hope he is willing to share that piece of information (if he wants via a PM).

Re: Catamarans Sold in the 4th Quarter of 2013

I don't think soldboats.com represents the true selling prices. The two cats we purchased from brokers showed up at a higher price than what we paid. Good news for buyers as it seems you should be able to purchase for less than what's represented here.

I appreciate your effort, thanks. I've always thought the asking priced I see in Yacht World and other on line classifies was about 35% higher than what they sell for in a completed transaction but your reports prove me wrong. The PDQ 36 is a small, well built affordable cat and your report shows a 1999 model going for $125K with an asking of $127.5K after being on the market for 11 months.

Please keep posting these reports.

Well.. I think sometimes its a bit scary looking at the list prices when shopping. People REALLY think highly of their cats when they go to sell them!!

I find it comforting to see that buyers are most often getting cats UNDER the list price. I know there are tons of gripes here about the 'accuracy'. I'm sure if you look at individual boats, you may be able to find some discrepancies but I use this to look at overall trends in certain boats, and in that way.. it is incredibly useful for me. And I've kept past copies of the reports, and I'm seeing some good trackable trends in the boats Im following.

So.. please don't let the negative posts hurt you.. and I know I appreciate the effort you go through to put these up here...
