I am surprised so little damage being up on point rocks like that. I had my doubts about Schionning's double skin bottoms without any real reinforcement but that boat seems to have held up fine.

Jim, likewise, I have not seen anything that says how they got it off and what damage there was. The Western Australian newspaper article does not say they got it off. Someone else stated that it was back in Broome.

Friends of ours have told us that they were anchored next to them in Broome a few weeks back, presumably before this happened.

The Paper said it had very little damage and it went to a nearby beach to fix temporary repairs,
If it wasnt moving at the time the tide dropped, There would be little damage any way, A few holes poked thru from the pointy rocks, Maybe,
They waited 9 hours to float it off,

The comment was by Ben, the designers's son, but he plays a very active part ion the design business so I would take it as a comment from Schionning Designs, I am sure they are not happy to see their boat on the rocks, equally I am sure they are proud of the way it seemed to stand up to the grounding.

Typical Cosmos's are western red stripped plank builds so no end grain balsa in the hull.
