Re: Can you guess the boat?

Your a wise man to be comfortable with electric drives.

You can fill up in the middle of the ocean .

Beats skimming the oil of the surface! 'cept if ya in the gulf.

The cats way better than cool.

Shes smart.

Old fat oil guzzling heavy mo-mos going to be as useful as an old Chrysler Newport ,soon.

Too bad we couldnt get electric solar powered planes to follow suit too.

Who needs wars for oil?

Re: Can you guess the boat?

Sounds like I'm preaching to the choir. The water medium and pitched props have always been an excellent means of bi-directional power delivery, but it has taken some time for the masses to catch on to this concept. I am not including the legions of Steve & Linda Dashew followers that have installed a 2nd prop and shaft just for absorbing this energy, converting it to Kw/hrs stored in the house batteries for later use. Could this controlled, induced drag be an effective dorgue in steep seas?

AKA-wave motion controller?

fed into a laptop with all the variables to steer her-herself-with zero input other than the waves and the sun?

consistency over time?

isn't singing to the choir like pi@@ing into the wind?

Re: Can You Guess the Boat ?

Meh, I could buy a faster mono that will never sink for $2 and have $1.99 change. Better looking too. And safer. And anything else good you can think of.

Re: Can You Guess the Boat ?

John Hitch (Aussie Designer) designed and built his last sail cat as a 3 headsail rig, no main, works very well apparently.

We're not too far away. Fully loaded liveaboard too.

Yup, I'd be proud of those numbers too.
