Calling all Lavezzi 40 owners - help

If all goes well, am a day or two away from closing on a Lavezzi 40.

My brother has kindly offered to lend me the 57' luff spinnaker that he flies on his Lagoon 400 for the mostly down wind, 1,900 mile delivery trip from the lesser Antilles to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Sailboatdata.com lists the Lavezzi 40 mast height as 57.5', but as far as I know, the spin halyard is not at the mast head, so...

Can any Lavezzi owners give me some insight into the largest 'chute I can safely fly from this boat? Sailing over a spinnaker in the water is an evolution I'd like to avoid on my first trip on this boat.
