Re: Calling all Catana 47 Owners

Hello Danard,
We have a 2000 Catana 472 with "Magic Legs" disabled just as Bob has described. We are very pleased with our boat!!

Where did you purchase your 472 and where are you headed with her?

We are in the Caribbean for the winter and up the US East Coast over the summer.

Eric

Re: Calling all Catana 47 Owners

Thanks ERic.

Have read your adventures in Lattitude.

I bought her in Oakland, CA and will keep her in the Channel Islands area of Southern California for the next few years and then hope to cruise the Southern Oceans.

I have not played with the legs yet, are they easy to remove?

Will be flying up North later this month to bring the boat home.

Was that you in this past ARC Eric? If so... congrats! I watched your progress with envy the whole way across!

Hi,
This is a very delayed response. Yes, we did the ARC+. Our first ocean crossing with beautiful Tradewinds for the whole trip. El Gato was comfortable, confidence in stilling, and fast!!

Re: Calling all Catana 47 Owners

Eric,

Heading to the yard next month and want to remove the steel supports inside the bow lockers.

When you say yours are "disabled", does that mean you removed them. Is there part of the hull that comes out with the feet? I didn't notice anything when the boat was hauled before but really did not look too hard.

Want to get the weight out of the bow but a bit reluctant with it in the water.

Thanks
