Bridgedeck Clearence video

The Multihull Company just redid their website and has these videos.
Catamarans for Sale
In the bridgedeck clearence one Phil Berman talks extensively about this issue and those boats that pound more and a sideline into why Catanas are so heavy. Very informative. I have a feeling these are old videos but they are new to me and I'm sure they will be new to many of you as well. BOB

Ah - Mr Berman. Excellent sailor - but a better salesman.

So Gunboats are the heavy "SUV'S" of the multihull world?

Yeah, the Gunboats are like the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. (550 horsepower) Not like the Chevy Blazer.

Re: Bridgedeck Clearence video

He said Catanas have High bridge deck clearance? That was the first thing the guy on a 50' 2010 Catana had here complained about. Said loved the boat but bridgebeck is a bit low and gets some pounding. Also when I saw the boat I said WOW nice boat but low bridgedeck for such a nice boat. I wouldn't say a Catana has high bridgedeck by any means but not bad either. The boat otherwise is awesome!

Re: Bridgedeck Clearence video

Here is a clip that I took last week to specifically show the good bridgedeck clearance on the Fountaine Pajot 40 foot Lavezzi during a 500 Nm delivery trip from Mooloolaba in QLD Australia to Pittwater NSW.

I though that this may be of interest.
