Beware those electrical engines.
I apologize for posting this here because it has almost nothing to do with boats but is a hoot. I am reminded of all the hassles they had with the Tag 60 electric drives including an onboard fire so my brain tells me there is something related to cruising in there somewhere.

Re: Beware those electrical engines.
That is quite entertaining, voted best of craigslist?
What this has to do with Tag 60? Even the devil mower had no fire,
and the motor itself works great. He probably didn't check the fuse.

Re: Beware those electrical engines.
I'd love to tinker with it just to see if I could get it going. But Bozman it a bit too far from the SF Bay Area.
I'm one of those " can fix anything" kind of guys. But I sure wouldn't put any money into it unless I knew for sure what the problem was.
It all comes down to the 'process of elimination', one step at a time.

Re: Beware those electrical engines.
Similar things happen with a Torqeedo if there is just one little wire in the harness that corrodes a bit.

Re: Beware those electrical engines.
A novel way to get out of mowing. Claim the mower is possessed...I will try that one and see if my wife will fall for it.

Re: Beware those electrical engines.
And that, my friends, is why nouveau riche poseurs use cheap labor and machinery to cut their lawns, while any proper yachtsmen will have hired several experienced Japanese lawn tenders, who clip each stalk of grass individually with hand-forged artisanal grass scissors, with the same skill and attention to detail that is used on bonsai.
If you can't afford the proper maintenance, on your lawn or your brightwork, you really shouldn't try to pretend.

I was just there 2 weeks ago.....I'd have taken on the challenge. Or did divine intervention save me?

Re: Beware those electrical engines.
So simple.Notice in the photos there are 2 batteries on the grass in front of the mower.Take 1 of those batteries and connect to mower and you can start mowing the grass.

Warning, warning, linguistic pedant attack.
Electrical MOTOR.
Motors convert any other form of energy into motion.
Engines convert heat into motion.
So all engines are motors but not visa versa.
