FP Mahe 36's are great boats that sail all over the world. They are also very fast.
Very easy to single hand if needed. When we purchased ours they where selling for $100,000 less than a Lagoon 380.
Same size inside as the Lagoon 380 and sails much faster.

Great blog @ SVReach.com by Colemj! Especially if your in the market for a Manta.

But if you plan hull extensions, I would think the opposite approach of forming the shape and building it up directly on the hull to be faster. Awesome documentation of the molded approach on his site. Well done.

And FPs Mahe is a current production model with one upgrade to the model line (Evolution).

I was very impressed with the hull extensions that Colemj did also. Should give him much more floatations to carry his Huge dinghy and give the boat a bit more hull speed.

Low windage... ease of maintainance... economy... loads of deck space...

I just figured out why there were comments in a different thread about the issue of going up and down stairs in a catamaran. There is a much different arrangement on my cat and it looks to be much harder on this boat. I have never been on a Wharram but have been on several other production cats and going down the stairs looks to be a lot easier than going down the stairs in this pix.

These boats are living in the hulls only.... open deck, no saloon.
