Belize to St. Thomas on a FP Athena 38 ?

How difficult would it be to sail an Athena 38 from Belize to the USVIs in November or December? I know it's kind of going opposite of the normal direction and head into the trades. How long would it take and what would be the best route? Any delivery skippers experienced with this route can PM me for discussion on rates, etc.

Never done it. Heard it's rough. Friends have gone west on that route and said it was rough going with it at times. Go North and pickup the Gulfstream.. then East and Down to the VI's??

Hi Hud. Nope, haven't bought anything yet, but still looking so let me know if you hear of anything. Might have a bead on something near Belize but want to determine how much hassle and how long it would take to sail from there to USVI.
