pirate Atlantic Delivery

So... I'm now in Ft Lauderdale.. man getting in the US is like getting into a prison.. mug shot.. fingerprints etc.. only thing missing was the anal probe and free hose down...
Finally found the boat after a minor panic.. currently at the 'Downtowner Saloon' listening to some cool live music and siping IPA... truth be told after today I'm guzzling it...
Tomorrow is familiarize myself with a Lagoon 440 day then of to Publix for stores.. WM for a Spot GPS3.. then check the weather for when to leave.. got an invite to a music fest for the 21st plus but see what the forecast says..
Love the States.. and the people I meet.. just hate the **** getting in..
Think this may turn into another Boatman Delivery thread... see how it goes..

I'm looking forward to hearing about it. Welcome back to the US. I'm relaxing on the beach in Costa Rica after finally finishing up in Afghanistan, but I will be heading to Florida around Easter to prep and launch our boat. Good luck on your delivery and have a great trip...

They must have read your posts on CF. Obviously a bit dodgy. Definitely deserving of the full work up. Though I would have given a pass on that anal thing, despite how much you might have enjoyed it.

I've never heard of anything like this of the sort... As previously mentioned, there is probably some type secondary "scoundrel" watch list which obviously you would be somewhere near the top of...

Of course the people in charge didn't quite make the cut to supervise the actual US watch list... Therefore most likely to exercise "overactive authority powers"

Glad things are lining up... Meant to make it to Miami... Work Woes... Next time...

Re: Atalantic delivery

Boatman,

I'm just up the river from you. Plan to head your way later today on my way to fill up with fuel in my powerboat. I'll say hi if I see you on board. Let me know if you need any local knowledge.

Cheers

Fair winds Phil.
We'll be following your voyage with interest.
Give us your thoughts on the Lagoon as well as the voyage itself.
Vic

Re: Atalantic delivery

I am definitely jealous. Hope you have a fun trip. Keep us posted and enjoy the states while you're here. P.s. next time if you want to skip all that interogation and hassle getting in here just fly one more country south and walk into the u.s. works for millions of others.

Happy sailing!

Have a great trip, Phil! I'm bringing aboat up from St Lucia to Miami tomorrow so we'll probably miss each other - again.

Hey ho - keep South - its a bit too early in the season for riding the top of those atlantic lows which are marching across at the moment, I reckon! Tony

I will add my "Best Wishes, safe voyage and fair winds" to the growing pile.

Presumably your outcome will be better than your last loooong thread .

BTW, it seems you are getting a bit of a fan club thing going...
