That's better... Make note of the time and report back every 1/2 hr....

We don't want our count to get ahead of the progress....

Awww mon , they're not AC72's, but compared to your average monohulls, sure. At the beginning of this, Boatman was averaging 12-15kts IIRC, best I've ever done is ~8kt on my monohull (the CC would once get above 45mph, that is flyin').
(my multihull experiences are limited to about 12 years trappin' on Hobie Cats, and what I read on places like this )

Oh! Now here we go.Up till now nobody has opened the mono vs multi can of worms. It should be pointed out that Wolfhound has remained afloat all on its lonesome.... For months. For Boatman's sake I hope he has not been slowed by equipment failure and is not in distress.
It's always compared to what. Compared to my boat a Lagoon is a rocket ship. But at least I have an inside conning station.

Re: Atlantic Delivery

Sure in some conditions they are going to be faster than mono hulls, of course, well some anyways but loaded down for cruising most owners sail them at average single digit speeds.

Re: Atlantic Delivery

Well that explains a lot. Should be a very interesting story once he makes landfall. Also hope everyone is ok and in good health.

Re: Atlantic Delivery

How did he get a Pan Pan out with no electricity? Or is there something lost in translation as in electrical issues not lost altogether?

probably he stopped one of the longliners that work within 100 miles of the island, and got them to relay, might even have got some fuel as well
