A tri always feels floaty compared to a cat. It heels more and the flying ama has a pendulum effect. It is unsettling until you get used to the boat and how it reacts to everything. Like a car just because you can drive fast doesn't mean you should. Our vintage boat doesn't get into your speed range but we did learn to reef for speed in different situations just to be more relaxed. Work up to the pedal to the metal stuff.....Looks like a blast!

Yup Sounds about right. Wanted to take some video in the choppy stuff but it was full on. Like Driving around hairpin turns in a Porsche then trying to fiddle with a camera. Next time my friend will mount a gopro onto the boat. Pulling the boat next week to do bottom paint, mount electronics and add a small bimini.

I know what you mean, we got my old barnstormer up to 17 knots in narrow passages and didn't have time to blink....If you drive a Porshe engineered for triple digits with reserve it will last forever. At least thats what I've heard, on my budget we had to supercharge Gtis to make dragon slayers....Lots of fun to have something built......when I'm alone I reef early so things are less hectic.

Cavalier MK2, you sound like my kind of guy when it comes to both boats and cars. My last boat was an old Cal 40, considered light in its day, and current fun car is 1790 lbs of open wheel and cockpit roadster sporting 516 lb/ft @ 2800 through a 5 speed stick. Looks like your F37 is the marine equivalent to my roadster. Takes some time to dial into new capabilities that have far exceeded previous experience. What was your previous fast boat background before your current boat?
