America's Cup Video

They have finally made sailing a sport worth watching on Video

Re: America's Cup Video

Absolutely Charlie.

Many people perceive sailing at that level as a boring sport for snobs. Ellison is doing an excellent job of removing that perception.

I noticed they are giving speeds in miles per hour, which people understand. Every little bit that helps the public to understand what is happening is better.

The popularity and excitement is going from croquet to NASCAR. They even have a checkered flag at the finish. This is really good for the sport.

I'm really looking forward to the 72's.

Re: America's Cup Video

A little demolishion derby, long distance running, wind sprints, and a lot of spray over the bows. Absolutely entertaining to watch. Best thing to happen to A/C. Thanks Charlie........i2f

Thumbs up Re: America's Cup Video

Wow! These are not just You Tube videos, they are full length, made-for-TV productions of very high quality. Plugged the laptop into the big screen last night---first mate and I were totally engrossed for an hour and a half. Are any TV stations in the US broadcasting these races?
