Either way, it looks nice to me! It is larger than what you originally said you were looking for. Aluminum build at 48' hits the sweet spot for aluminum much easier and better than 40'.

I noticed what you had pointed out when i was searching. All the big cats seemed to be allow and all the small ones plastic.

48 is bigger than i would be looking for but below that it seems rare for alloy...

I would be very curious for a alloy cat owner with a boat closer to 40' to chime in with experience on the sailing performance, if one exists on the forum...

Great link doodles!

Funny thing is that the two boats discussed in that thread are the ones in the links i posted. The one for sailpalau.com being built is the first link...

Re: Aluminum Catamaran Manufacturers

Foolish, this is a fairly famous alu cat at 42' that been RTW maybe more than once I think. Anyway, the builder and specs may help you.

Sorry, the link is not coming out right but I'm sure you can find the boat on the site. The name of the boat is Banana Split.

I don't read French (busy with my Thai right now.) but here is a link to the builder's site and it looks like they have several in the 40 foot range.

Re: Aluminum Catamaran Manufacturers

Here is a 40ft aluminum cat constructed by Astrolabe Industries & located in Vancouver BC. Sail Catamaran Boat Description

Yapluka's are all aluminum, but they've produced none smaller than 60ft.

One of three heads working? And it is new?

The other is about $100k more and looks nice on the inside. I think it would be difficult to finish the first one for 100k. Even in the Philippines.
