AIR VENTS INSTALLATIONON AMAS

Hello Fellow Mulit-Hullers,

Or 40ft Searunner has 35 foot amas and have been building up moisture and causing mildew and almost dripping condensation. I think I have neglected them over the last couple years. Anyway, we have decided to install "Airvent 500" units to allow moisture and air to move and circulate.

My question, do you think one unit on each ama, centered would do the trick in keeping them dry, or should we install two on each ama. I want to avoid placing them on the forward ama, as that has traffic, for the bridle, and stepping aboard, so placement would be midway and aft.

I appreciate any advice you can offer.

Re: AIR VENTS INSTALLATIONON AMAS

Is there any way to insert tubes fore and aft that are connected to vents, at least one being powered?

For serious sailing make them convertable to a sealed port.

Re: AIR VENTS INSTALLATIONON AMAS

Thanks for the response. These particular vents do not allow water in. My main objective is to simply allow air to flow out of the amas, freely, to eliminate the build up of mosture (the enemy).
