Advise please: On the hard in Florida!

We are planning on storing our Endeavour 35 in the Fort Meyers/Okeechobee area from May through December. Do I need a dehumidifier? This will cost an extra $500 for that time period (there is a drain plug in the bilge low point that will be removed to keep water from collecting). We plan to unstep the mast and use extra blocking as well. Is there any other advice? Is this entire plan a bad idea? Any local advice is greatly appreciated.

most of that time period the humidity is around 100% so you could get a lot of mold with out one

You need a way to ensure that the electricity stays connected for those 9 months. Might be a little iffy. Also, be sure to close your thru hulls and tape over the tank vents. The bees love to build little nests in there... blocking the vent!

If you are going to have a place for the water to drain to the outside, place some sort of a sieve over it so the cockroaches can climb up the hole into the boat.
