Re: Advice needed.

Don't know how you could build a boat to the stage where it's ready to launch, and not launch it! By that time I was desperate to get ours in the water!

Re: Advice needed.

Hi Salticrak,

I recognize your user name from akff, perhaps your crak might not get so salty on the Warrum as compared to sitting in the kayak and that's got to be a good thing.

Would be good to take the Warrum up behind Frazer Island with its shallow draft.

Happy mackerel hunting.

Anthony.

Re: Advice needed.

Thanks mate, unfortunately you read a lot about "Wharrams are wet boats bla, blah blah..," But ye goddes they are fun i am told. I think Fraser Island beckons for sure, foreign deck candy is also in great abundance up thataways I am led to believe.

Re: Advice needed.

I wasn't thinking the Warrum was wet but now that you mention it I guess they would be... I was thinking the kayak is wet arse material, mine is.

Foreign deck candy is a good idea, Airlie Beach seems to be the center of the action.

You are going to have fun with that Warrum.

Having owned and sailed a Tiki 24 in Malaysia I can attest to the fun factor. Enjoy! What is a schoolie?

Schoolies = School Leavers. At the end of the school year all the Grade 12s from SE Queensland congregate on the Gold Coast. The whole place is overrun with drunken yahoos.

And the NSW schoolies as well join in a week later. Basically, two weeks of "stay away from the place." then you get all the older sickos hanging around trying to take advantage of all the drunken young girls. It is a fine advert for humanity.
