AC 72's- A foiling we will go~

I for one am excited about the upcoming, new AC format! Was a huge supporter and follower of the great era of the mighty 12's, but am thrilled we will get to see these incredible foiling machines on the Bay in 2013!

Prada just launched their 'Silver Bullet' and she is a beauty! Mirrored hulls!

Any comments on the new Mulitihull AC format or any other aspects of the America's Cup?

I agree, but must reflect, wondering if but for the winged keel would we still be watching dogs sail that were so rule bound it was ridiculous...

CF members may not like the developments BUT there are spin-offs for all of us when there are no rules, equipment wise and materials develop big time.

Heaps of Titanium, Carbon Fibre and hard hard sails with not an anchor in sight.

Care to share some links?

See that - 30 knots.

Of course when you go at speeds only dreamt about by previous AC boats things will get ugly from time to time.

Ever broken in half and sunk at less than 8 knots
